Pension Transfer Experts provides a specialist Defined Benefit Transfer bureau service to clients of financial advisers who are regulated in the UK and overseas.
We assume full responsibility for our advice. To assure compliance with all regulatory requirements, we will liaise with your clients directly to understand the details of their current needs and circumstances and to provide them with recommendations to either retain or transfer their DB pension.
Please note, that our starting position is always to assume that a transfer will not be suitable. Our goal is not to facilitate a transfer but to give your clients the best advice, which solely focusses on the delivery of their retirement goals. Our advice process is rigorous and designed to deliver the most suitable client outcomes, in a fully compliant manner.
If we recommend a transfer for a UK resident client, we will assist your client to implement it. However, if we recommend against a transfer, we do not undertake insistent client or execution only transactions. We will issue the confirmation of advice to the existing pension scheme administrators as required by the FCA. This will enable your client, if our recommendation is not to transfer, to implement a transfer with the provider of their choice. We cannot guarantee that there will be any providers willing to accept such a transfer.
For overseas Clients, we do not facilitate any transfers, regardless of the recommendation provided.
We will keep you informed regarding the progress of your client’s advice. We naturally respect your relationship with your clients and will never solicit other business from them nor contact them regarding any other issues. If there are other financial planning needs recognised during our work with your clients, we will always refer these back to you.
If we arrange a pension transfer on behalf of your clients, we will help you transfer the new arrangements to your agency.
Please note, due to the three month guarantee limit provided for transferring, we have strict time limits within which we will accept instructions to advise. Further information is available on request. In the event that the remaining term of the Transfer Value is insufficient, your Client may need to ask the Scheme Trustees for an extension of the three month deadline, or to request a new Transfer Value.
New Transfer Values frequently differ from previous ones and can go up or down. We cannot be held responsible for any subsequent variations in value nor the cost of obtaining subsequent Transfer Values.
